Dear Friends,

Somewhere on the nets there's a picture of the tree stump I've been wrestling with for the last few weeks.

That's generally how its been going this year.
Lots of digging on things that need to move.

We had a polar vortex winter and after that, just busy.

While the gallery show program has been on hiatus,
gallery projects have been ongoing and relentless.

Mostly in the background, infrastructure improvements,
stuff to help things work better.

And I have been enjoying the gallery side yard / bocce court this year.

With a little more rain, its all about the flowers,
the perennials, their bug friends, a few bunny rabbits, some overgrown weed trees and a gallerist digging on things.

So back on track with art next week, two openings for the same show, Friday and Saturday, August 1 and 2.

The Summer Salon group show started in 2002 at the Troost location and has been an ongoing tradition since.

Very eclectic and open, reflects the general pluralist approach of the gallery.

I hope if you are out and about for First Friday,
don't forget
Bad Seed farmer's market,
Midwestern Music, final music show,
Red Star and the Late Show
and if you are out early,
stop in at the Telephonebooth
First Friday Preview from 5-8pm.
